Rock the Pier : Point Gratiot Park
If you’re looking for some fun and entertainment this summer, look no further than the Dunkirk Pier and Point Gratiot Park, where you can enjoy live music from local and tribute bands every Wednesday and Thursday night from July 5 to August 12.
The city of Dunkirk has announced the lineup for the Music on the Pier and Music at the Point series, which feature a variety of genres and styles to suit every taste. Whether you’re into classic rock, new wave, Americana, or hard rock, you’ll find something to rock your socks off at the pier or the park.
Here are all the bands and all the dates for the upcoming shows:
- July 5 (Music at the Point): Jess and the Mess – This band plays a mix of blues, rock, and soul with a touch of sass and humor.
- July 6 (Music on the Pier): OsbornNash/Sean Patrick McGraw – This is a country night featuring two talented acts that will make you feel like you’re in Nashville.
- July 8 (Music on the Pier): Eaglez Tribute Band – If you love the Eagles, you won’t want to miss this tribute band that captures their timeless hits and harmonies.
- July 12 (Music at the Point): Gerk’n Jerks – This band plays a variety of covers from classic rock to modern pop with a lot of energy and fun.
- July 13 (Music on the Pier): Leroy Townes Band/Uncle Ben’s Remedy – This is an Americana night featuring two bands that blend country, folk, and rock with a dash of punk attitude. They’ll make you stomp your feet and sing along.
- July 15 (Music on the Pier): Carl Dixon and The Last Buffalo – Carl Dixon is a former member of The Guess Who, April Wine, and Coney Hatch, and he’s bringing his rock and roll experience to Dunkirk with his band The Last Buffalo.
- July 19 (Music at the Point): 2 Towns – This band plays original songs and covers that blend rock, country, folk, and blues.
- July 22 (Music on the Pier): Uncle Ben’s Remedy – This Americana band from Western New York blends country, folk, and rock with a dash of punk attitude. They’ll make you stomp your feet and sing along.
- July 26 (Music at the Point): Astro Galaxy Sound – This band plays a mix of reggae, ska, funk, and soul with a cosmic vibe.
- July 29 (Music on the Pier): Furious George – This energetic band plays a mix of pop, rock, funk, and soul from the 70s to today. They’ll keep you dancing and grooving all night long.
- August 2 (Music at the Point): The Breeze Band – This band specializes in smooth jazz, R&B, and soul music that will soothe your soul and lift your spirits.

- August 9 (Music at the Point): The Trend – This band plays a mix of rock, pop, and alternative music that will keep you on your toes.
- August 12 (Music on the Pier): Rock The Cradle/The Rising – This is the ultimate Bruce Springsteen tribute night, featuring a band that plays his early hits and a 10-piece ensemble that recreates the sound and spirit of The Boss and his E Street Band.
- August 16 (Music at the Point): Ion Sky – This band plays a mix of new wave, rock, and pop music that will make you feel nostalgic and energized.
- August 23 (Music at the Point): Refuge – This band plays a mix of classic rock, blues, and soul music that will make you feel alive and inspired.
All shows are free to the public and start at 5:25 p.m. at the Dunkirk Pier or 6:00 p.m. at Point Gratiot Park. Ice chests are allowed, but please be respectful of the environment and other guests. You can also enjoy the beautiful waterfront views, the new businesses that have popped up on the pier, and the fireworks display on July 4th.
